Rooting Reconnection - Manhood

  • House of Play Shetlandsgade 3 2300 Copenhagen Denmark (map)

This event is part of the second Manhood series, in which we explore the many layers of the male-socialised experience as it is shaped through upbringing, biology, and cultural expectation. To read more about the concept, ideology and choice of words, go to the event description on House of Plays website.

Whether you joined us for the first series or this is your first step into the work, you'll find a place here. For those returning, this is an invitation to revisit familiar ground with new eyes. The path is the same, but you are not. The work hasn't become deeper because we've learned more. It's become deeper because we've lived more.
Beneath the pace and noise of everyday life, it's easy to lose touch with ourselves, with one another, and with the quiet strength that grows through genuine connection. This workshop is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and remember that we were never meant to carry life alone.

Together, we'll create a space where you can be seen, heard, and supported without judgement. Through movement, reflection, conversation, and laughter, we'll deepen our relationship with ourselves and each other, exploring trust, belonging, vulnerability, and the wisdom that emerges when we meet life with honesty, compassion, and presence.
Rather than pushing away the parts of ourselves that feel difficult or uncomfortable, we'll gently explore what becomes possible when we come into relationship with them. Healing doesn't begin by getting rid of what we feel, but by meeting it with curiosity, courage, and care.

This is not a space to become someone new. It is a space to remember what has always been there beneath the roles we play, the stories we carry, and the expectations we've inherited.

Come as you are, and reconnect with the simple truth that healing doesn't have to happen alone. Together, we remember that we belong—to ourselves, to one another, and to life itself.
